Autism and Spirituality

Since autism is a lifelong developmental disability, it takes many life changes to adjust to it's presence in our lives.  Coping skills, parenting
styles, priorities and schedules all make a shift when autism becomes apart of a family.

Many family's core values are based off of their spiritual life.  Religion for many provides comfort, guidance and support for all areas of life.
Arizona Autism Support recognizes the importance of spirituality in the lives of those affected by autism.

Many wonderful caring and helpful religious organizations bend over backwards to accommodate and reach out to those affected with special
needs, some even having specific focuses on autism.

Listed here are merely ones we have been blessed to hear about by word of mouth.

If your church, synagogue, ward, mosque or other religious center has a special needs ministry, support group or prayer line that you would
like to add to this page please email it to us at
