Support Private Insurance Coverage for Autism

During the 2008 legislative session the Arizona Autism Coalition will be
pursuing private insurance coverage for autism related interventions.

In-depth details about the formal bill are forthcoming. In the mean time
please contact your State Senators and Representatives to ask them to
support private insurance coverage for autism.

If you missed the informational meeting about on
Wednesday, December 5th here is a recap:

  • Tim Schmaltz gave an amazing presentation on advocacy which can
    be viewed HERE

  • “Arguments In Support of Private Insurance Coverage of Autism-
    Related Services” is a document from Autism Speaks which is very
    helpful and can b viewed HERE This is an excellent tool that you can
    utilize when writing letters and/or speaking with your senators. A one
    page fact sheet is being drafted and will be distributed ASAP.

  • An overview of the insurance bill and the powerpoint used at the

Next Steps:

  •       Attend the autism candlelight vigil on January 29th, 6:00 PM at
    the Arizona State Capital, 1700 W. Washington, Phoenix, Arizona


  •       If you have not done so already, REGISTER TO VOTE! Visit this
    voter registration website and make your voice count!

  •       Stay united! We must be once voice to make this bill a success.
  • Let’s keep the lines of communication open and maintain one clear,
    concise message.
