No "Cure" but what can we do?

One of the biggest challenges facing parents after their child has received
an autism diagnosis is finding good, reliable information about the
many
treatments out there. In this section, you will find unbiased information on
many of the treatment options available. On our Resource Directory you will
find many links to many different options. Read through each, visit each
treatment's Web site, talk with your doctor, talk with others that may have
tried these interventions, take time to talk or visit with the treatment
facilitators, and then
decide which treatment is best for you, your family and
your child.

We want to provide you with as much information as possible, including the
downfalls that have been reported with any interventions.  This information
is simply that; information. It does not represent a pro or con stance that
Arizona Autism Support has taken on the issue simply just the information
out there and we do not claim that these concerns are true or false. That is
something you must do in your own research.

Arizona Autism Support does assert that
No treatment is perfect.
Nor is every treatment right for each person. But you must have all the
information in order to make the right decision for you and your child.

Some parents find success after the first attempt. Others need to try more
than one treatment until they find ones that provide success for their loved
one. And some try a combination of treatments at once.
It's a very
individual process. There are no right answers. So take your time and
do what feels right for you and your child.
